Many books on scuba diving have been published over the course of time, almost since the beginning of the scuba era. The Scuba News Canada will post these “nostalgia” books considered a “blast from the past” on a regular basis, and we want you, our readers, to make suggestions of “older nostalgia diving books” you have enjoyed, or believe our readers will. We will publish it and add your social media/website link to the article if you send us the proposal. Contact us.

The Great Lakes Diving Guide, now in its second edition, was released in January 2008 and is the most detailed guide (in 2008) to exploring Great Lakes shipwrecks ever written. The histories, locations (in GPS and Loran coordinates), and explanations of over 1,000 shipwrecks are detailed in this 608-page volume. There are over 1,200 photos, 175 sketches, various charts, and side-scan sonar images in this series. 30 historically important events are highlighted in a dramatic way.

For easy reference, the book is divided into fifty geographical chapters. This insightful book, which has been significantly expanded and revised from the first edition, now contains an expanded chapter on The Search for Great Lakes Shipwrecks as well as a new chapter on how to organize and effectively operate a scuba dive club. This incredible new edition of this famous book describes 150+ newly discovered wrecks.
