Update Part 2 from Stephen Hatch

Update on the Artificial Reef Project:

“We’ve found a potential donor ship for our Artificial Reef; it’s a perfect match and has some St. Lawrence Seaway past. I believe it was the former CCGS MONTMAGNY built by Russel Brothers Ltd., Owen Sound, Ontario, in 1963. In 1999, it was decommissioned and sold to Mr. Sephane Julien of Chateau-Richer, Québec.

Groupe Maritime Verreault, the current owners, may be able to donate it to our cause. A former Canadian Coast Guard vessel that worked on the St Lawrence Seaway as the centrepiece of our artificial reef would be fantastic. We still have a long way to go, but this is a huge step forward.
