Where Water Meets Mettle

Heddle Shipyards owns and runs the most shipyards and dry docks in the country. They have been in business since 1987, and still growing. Heddle also has facilities and operations on Canada’s east coast, including shipyards in Hamilton and Port Weller, Ontario.

Heddle Shipyards is on track to become Canada’s most dependable provider of ship repair services, with facilities spanning the Great Lakes and the East Coast. They aspire to exceed industry quality, health, and safety requirements, as well as establish meaningful and consistent relationships with our customers, suppliers, partners, and workers.

The repair and maintenance of ships is their main activity. From new builds to vessel recycling, they provide a variety of complementary Vessel Lifecycle Services. They specialize in Heavy Industrial Fabrication and Project Support Services.

Over the last two decades, Heddle Marine has provided McAsphalt Marine with quick, efficient, and creative solutions. When our vessels visit Heddle yards, we are certain that Heddle will make every effort to return our vessels to service on time.

Drydocking may be a stressful period for shipowners, but Heddle Shipyards can help by keeping information and deadlines flowing to the owner’s onsite representatives.

Depending on the season, they employ between 100 and 250 qualified artisans. They are expanding and will continue to hire people at all levels.
