It can be both fun and challenging to dive the Argonaut Wharf. Often at this easy access site on the Tyee Spit near the mouth of the Campbell River, there is some very special marine life. The currents can be challenging, and the Campbell River Tide Table and the Seymour Narrows Current Table should be consulted by divers to determine when the optimum slack will occur.
The dive depth was 35 – 40 feet on average with max depth at 45 feet. The visibility was low that day at about 30 – 40 feet (may be 50 – 60 feet) and a balmy 47 degrees Fahrenheit or 8 degrees Celsius temperature.
